Bio#
Ever since I started my journey as a student of Biology I wanted to deepen my understanding of life, decision-making and the complexity of the brain. With this VTK, I can not only do just that but also acquire new skills with tools I haven’t had the chance to use before. I hope to one day use my knowledge to advance research in a direction that helps humanity as a whole.
Thesis#
Title
Neural basis of decision making under sensory conflict
Type
VTK Project 2026
Period
2026/06–2026/07
Summary
My project investigates what the neural activity in the brain of the zebrafish looks like when exposed to conflicting information. Using two-photon calcium imaging, I map whole brain activity as the fish is presented with opposing random dot motion stimuli of different coherence levels. This project aims to further our understanding of how the zebrafish brain is wired and how it deals with conflicting information.
