I’m fascinated by biology because it allows me to make the invisible visible. Using microscopes to observe individual neurons and applying methods from molecular biology to better understand their function. Working with zebrafish especially appeals to me because it gives me an easy insight into the brain which is closely related to the humans.

Outside the lab you’ll usually find me swimming in Lake Constance, spending time in the mountains or I go fencing and try to beat them all:)

Title Spatial distribution of ribosomes in the larval zebrafish brain
Type Bachelor thesis
Period 2026/03–2026/06
Summary I use a plasmid to mark ribosomes with GFP in the larval zebrafish brain. This gives me insights about the repairing system in the brain. To insert the plasmid I use electroporation and microinjections into the embryo of the zebrafish.
